With the goal of improving the processing performance of shallow hole drilling and promoting the mass production of shallow hole drilling, the shallow hole drill equipped with two equilateral unequal hexagonal cemented carbide indexable inserts on the tool body was studied. The geometric model of the cutting part is established by the vector matrix method. The mechanical model of shallow hole drilling is established by combining classical bevel cutting theory and empirical formulas. Based on the above mathematical model, the optimization program is established with the minimum radial resultant AND torque as the optimization goal. Under given known conditions, the optimal spatial position of the inner and outer inserts of shallow hole drilling under different cutting amounts and different diameters was obtained, and analyzed. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis of AND experimental data, a parametric CAD prototype system for indexable shallow hole drilling is established.Page:Chinese Abstract
